In a big step toward modernization, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has officially ends paper ticket system on all toll plazas in Punjab. This major move aims to make transportation fast, transparent, and digital just like the Motorway’s “One App, One System.” The plan includes digitalizing 38 toll plazas across Punjab to ensure smooth travel for drivers, reduce corruption, and improve management efficiency. This is part of the government’s larger goal to build a Smart, Green, and Modern Punjab where technology supports the daily life of every citizen.
During a high-level meeting on provincial development, Maryam Nawaz also directed that all newly built roads should include solar street lights to save energy and promote an eco-friendly environment. This shows her focus on sustainable development and using technology to make Punjab cleaner and more efficient.
